Last night celebrities showed off their best dressed and creative styles at the Met Gala.
This year’s theme for the gala was: Rei Kawakubo, the designer of Comme de Garcons. Dubbed Rei Kawakubo/Comme des Garçons: Art of the In-Between, features womans-wear clothing that starts back at 1981 to today, which means we could expect some pretty creative themed outfits from our favorite a-listers. We rounded up some of our favorites from the night, check them out below.
Kylie Jenner and Donatella Versace complemented each other perfectly. Jenner wore a nude Atelier Versace dress, featuring amazing floral floral embellishments and fringe. Versace, who told press her dress is about purity and power of design, wore a metal mesh, one shoulder gown.
It’s Rihanna …. do we need to say more. She’s a walking art every day, so you know she’s going to look spectacular at any Met Gala
Selena Gomez can do no wrong. The producer/actress/singer donned a custom creation from Coach. But it was her accessory that stole the show – The Weeknd, who had zero problem showing affection on the red carpet. Looks like both celebs were also able to avoid the super awkward moment of running into their exes (Bella & Justin)!
Candice Swanepoel wore a daring, black strapless. And what goes better with a black dress than a sexy cat-eye? Oh yeah, nothing.
Jennifer Lopez took away anyone’s blues with this gorgeous ensemble.
Joan Smalls was trendy AF by pulling off a fake lip ring and wearing a sexy split, red dress. Its glamorous deep plunge and thigh-high slit made it red carpet approved. We also can’t get enough of her never-ending earrings.
Kendall Jenner had no problem showing some skin. The Jenner sister wore a sheer La Perla couture dress with a revealing slit on both the bottom … and the top.
When you and your hubby are both co-chairs of the gala, you have to look better than good, and that’s exactly what Gisele Bundchen did by wearing a backless silver dress. Her hot date wore a matching velvet blazer and black slacks.
