You can now order a Good American size 15, and we’re pretty damn happy about it.
Good American is one of the first companies to cover sizes from 00 – 24. But what they didn’t think about was those who may be in between. So what did they do? Something all brands should try to do more. They listened to their customers and created a size people were begging for.
So why a Good American size 15? 50 percent of sizes 14 and 16 are returning to the stores. The size drops this Thursday along with their latest line, Good Curve.
The website states, and has stated since it came out:
“We believe everybody deserves to be shown off. Fashion should be made to fit women, not the other way around. Body ideals really have shifted in the last few years.
Emma and I both agreed there was something missing from the denim community. Whenever we bought new jeans, it was hard for us to find a pair that fit our body types, and even when we did they’d always need alterations. We knew if we both had this problem, there must be tons of girls who did too. So we set out to make a denim line that’s sexy and flattering, and made to fit you – not the other way round.”
Since day one, we’ve made promises to you and to ourselves about how we operate as a company…and we’ve upheld them.”
The company shows their stand with inclusion by listening to their customers, analyzing what’s going wrong, and remembering all shapes and sizes out there. We applaud them for making this change, and hope the rest of the fashion and creative world can follow their ways.
The Good Curve collection should also bring in-between sizes happiness. They are high – super high – rises with lining to the waist that the brand states accentuates the mid section. You can get a pair starting Thursday.
