The big day is getting closer, and we gotta know Meghan – WhatRUWearing?!
There’s a lot out there about Meghan – and there’s some true, and some totally fake AF stuff, too. WhatRUWearing investigated in order to find out the most common reports to get as close as we can about the real deal when it comes to Meghan’s wedding gown. Here is what we think will happen, based on multiple reports.
It won’t matter what Meghan wears for the groom – Harry is wearing his full military uniform.
Harry is a proud member of the military, and is Captain General of the Royal Marines, it’s no surprise to us if he waits for his love down the aisle in his red suit. According to Us Weekly, he was wearing something similar when he met his fiancee for the first time.
It will be sexy but conservative.
Interviews across the board state that Meghan would prefer sleeves when it comes to the ceremony. To honor the royal family, we can assume it will be on the conservative side, but with lace to incorporate Meghan’s flawless style. We know it’ll be stunning either way – did you see their engagement photos? Meghan opted for a long and black gorgeous dress that had just enough sex appeal to stay true to herself, while looking classy af at the same time.
It will probably be one of these designers.
Ralph & Russo: Her engagement dress was designed by them.
Roland Mouret: This is a friend of Meghan.
Alexander McQueen: Designed Kate’s dress.
Erdem: One of Meghan’s favorite designers.
Jenny Packham: One of Kate Middleton’s favorite designers.
Inbal Dror: Rumored sketches surfaced stating that one was “the dress.”
She will have two dresses.
Stats across the board state that Meghan wants to have a more casual dress at the reception and a conservative and fancy one for the ceremony. This makes sense after all, we’re sure her train will be amazing, but she can’t dance the night away in something so extravagant! But there is no doubt both dresses will be jaw-dropping beautiful.
They will be on the simpler side – as simple as you can get, at least.
We aren’t really sure how simple a wedding gown at a royal event can be, but Meghan stated she likes romantic and classy. “Classic and simple is the name of the game, perhaps with a modern twist,” she said in an interview. “I personally prefer wedding dresses that are whimsical or subtly romantic. I have the luxury of wearing beautiful pieces of clothing every day for work, so my personal style — wedding or not — is very pared-down and relaxed.”
