As you know, we’re committed to capturing all things cool in Chicago. From highlighting designers and fashionistas on our digital platform to interviewing the most interesting creatives in the city on Fast Fashion Podcast–we’ve blended it all together for some new up-close-and-personal content.
‘WhatRUWearing Kicks It With…’ is a new video series where we’ll be taking turns kickin’ it with more dope individuals you’ll love, hitting up the trendiest spots and doing fun activities as we pick their brain–all while wearing bomb outfits, of course!
While scouting female musicians to use for the PR Girl Series soundtrack, we discovered BONZIE. She’s a 22-year-old indie singer/songwriter that we naturally vibe to, so it was only right to connect with her for our first episode!
Our first host is painter, blogger and friend to WRWU, Hannah Lynn, of The Full Color of Life, who used her background in radio and love for culture and creativity to deliver this kick-ass interview. In the hip Wicker Park neighborhood, they chat briefly in Volumes Bookcafé, where we tap into BONZIE’s soft mystery of who she is and explains musical process. Later, they head to Reckless Records store nearby to talk music and inspiration–and even stumble upon a surprise all artists dream of!
