Pressure Women Have In 2018: Elderly Women Explain & It’s A Dope Must-See

Over the past few years, a video has circulated featuring elderly women, talking about pressure women have in 2018. What’s so special about it? They are giving their advice to their own 25-year-old-selves and women of today.

Not only do they discuss what they would do, and wouldn’t do. Furthermore, they talk about the pressure on today’s women. Today, 40% of women feel like they are burnt out. FORTY-PERCENT! We are not surprised. How many of us right now feel like we’re ready to throw our deuces up?

The advertising project came from Sanctuary, who is on a mission to get women to Relax, Breathe and #LetGo. Who knows better than the elderly who have already lived full lives?

Consequently, these women give a powerful message to all. The most important word, BEING. Being lost in the moment; Being at peace with the world; Being kinder to myself; Being kinder to others; Being able to let go and being proud to do so.

What do you need to start BEING more of and letting go of? They go on listing all the pressure women have in 2018. Pressure to be a boss, mother, good friend, etc.

“With all the things you have the opportunities, technology, I liked to think it’d be a world of pleasure. But I fear it would only be a world of pressure,” they explain.

Some of our favorites included:

“If I had my time again I wouldn’t create a “to do” list, I’d created “to don’t do” list.

What I wouldn’t give to extend children goodnight kisses instead of moaning about having to get up early in the morning.

“Spend more time being, not doing.”

We all need to sometimes slow down. Furthermore, this generation said it better than anyone – they never had the fear of burning out. So, what’s changed? Us being, simply? Comment below on what you think.
