5 Ways to Practice Self-Care in 2019

One of the most common New Year’s resolutions is centered on health and fitness. As we are a few days into keeping up with that resolution (or not), we thought we would lend some advice as to how you can adapt to a healthier lifestyle throughout 2019  and not just in January.

1. Make your gym-centric resolutions more realistic.

Rather than saying you’re going to work out every single day, start smaller and promise yourself you will hit the gym 2-3 times a week. Once you have been consistent in doing that for a month or two, increase it.

2. Drink more water.
Drinking water is the easiest way to get that healthy, glowing skin. Try drinking X number of water bottles a day.

3. Try doing yoga.
Yoga is a relaxing alternative workout that you can add to your workout regimen this year.

4. Incorporate fruits and veggies into your diet.
The second January rolls around, so many of us try to go on a fad diet. Instead of committing to an intense diet, incorporate more fruits and veggies into your current diet. Veggies are so filling and fruits are a healthier option to satisfy those of us who are guilty of having a sweet tooth.

5. Update your skincare routine.
A healthy lifestyle often begins with your skin and how comfortable you feel in it. Adding new beauty products that don’t contain parabens or harsh chemicals are so vital when it comes to caring for your skin.
