Kylie Jenner has spent the majority of her teen years working hard to make a name for herself in the world, outside of her older sisters. She has millions of followers on Twitter, Snapchat and Instagram and now has millions of people fighting over her coveted Lip Kits. While Kylie keeps promising a restock of the Holy Grail lipsticks, here is what you need to know before trying to snag one for yourself.
The Kylie Lip Kit currently comes in seven shades, the most recent teased on her Instagram during New York Fashion Week. The shades are: True Brown K, a dark neutral brown. Dolce K, a light neutral brown shade. Candy K, a mauvey brown. Posie K, a rosie pink shade. Mary Jo K, a vibrant bold red. Koko K, a light mauvey pink and finally, 22 (sans K), an orangey coral color, which released earlier this week and sold out in all of seven minutes.
The Lip Kits are a pretty good value; you get a liquid lipstick with a matching lip liner for only $29, compared to $20 for an Anastasia Beverly Hills Cosmetics, and Kat Von D liquid lipsticks, which essentially makes the lip liner $9. The lip liners are great quality and glide on very smoothly, they are very pigmented and match well with other similar color lipsticks.
The matte lipsticks are very highly pigmented, one swipe of the applicator goes a long way and they are easy to apply. The older formula, which is used on the colors of Candy K, True Brown K, and Dolce K, is heavy and a little drying on the lips. The new formula of Posie K, Koko K, and Mary Jo K, is lighter on the lips and you can barely feel it. Both formulas last a long time even if you are eating and drinking with the lipstick on. Make sure to exfoliate and hydrate your lips before and after using the product because matte lipsticks tend to be drying!
If you want to get your hands on a Kylie Lip Kit, make sure you follow her on Instagram and Twitter, along with her Kylie Cosmetics official pages and her Snapchat. It may seem like a lot to keep tabs on the celebrity but she loves to stay in touch with her fans and update them about the kits. The kits normally go on sale at 12 PM Eastern and 9 AM Pacific, so keep on her twitter and refresh that page ladies!! Good luck, and may the pout be with you!
