Velvet, Metal & Tassel Chokers Oh My!!

When it comes to an instant style update, look no further than this season’s throw back thursday, the choker! The 90’s trend was brought back with vengeance, and it doesn’t look like it’s slowing down any time soon. It trickled down from the runway to celebs on the street, putting it in the spotlight. What is so great about the choker is it’s versatility and its seemingly Insta (see what we did there) ability to transform any outfit into cool-girl chic. Go to the jump to what choker styles we’re lusting after this season!

It’s obvi to see who are the reigning queens of the choker. We loved how GiGi paired her accessory with a black and white corset and wide legged pants, making one big statement. Kendall Jenner’s prefered style is a wide velvet choker, which she’s been spotted donning with a black crop top or 90’s Tee.  If neither one of these fit your personality, take style cues from Rose Depp, who paired it with wide leg trousers and a fitted top.

When it comes to figuring out what outfits look best with your velvet, metal, or tassel choker,  experimentation is key. Our personal fav looks include a velvet choker with a crop top and jeans, a metal choker with a cool fitted blazer and lace silk blouse, or a tassel version, which makes any low-cut top or little black dress stand out. Take a look below to see which ones we’re lusting over and let WRUW know what you think!
