We’re Still Talking About It: The Best and the Worst Looks from the 2018 AMAs

We know the AMA’s may have come and gone, but when it comes to the fashion, we are STILL talking about it. With every award show comes an array of designers’ work of various silhouettes and colors that take over the red carpet courtesy of the celebrity attendees. If you’re anything like us at WRUW, the main reason you watch these seasonal award shows is strictly for the fashion.

We love music too, of course, but we can’t wait to see what the celebrities are wearing each year. From Lady Gaga’s meat dress in 2010 to Miley Cyrus’s barely-there bodysuit in 2015, there’s certainly no predicting what celebrities might (or might not) show up in on the red carpet. Here are some of our fave and not-so-fave looks from the 2018 AMAs.

Tracee Ellis Ross
OK ladies, Tracee KILLED it in this boxy Pyer Moss suit. We are lovin’ the color contrast of black and peach.

Carrie Underwood
Carrie went with a black velvet gown that had some gold beaded embellishments, keyhole shoulders and a thigh-high slit to make her stand out. Let’s not forget that she is pregnant and is looking bomb!

Cardi B
The phrase “less is more,” certainly isn’t part of Cardi B’s mantra when it comes to getting dressed for any event. Decked out in a floral dress and headpiece by Dolce & Gabbana, you couldn’t miss Cardi B owning the red carpet (per usual).

Amandla Stenberg
Amandla rocked the red carpet this year wearing a Ralph Lauren tuxedo blazer and Levi’s jeans. Even though her outfit leaned more on the casual side, she still looked fabulous AF.

Tyra Banks
This year, Tyra’s red carpet look just wasn’t one of our faves. Of course Tyra is always absolutely stunning, but we weren’t feeling the metallic frayed hula skirt.

Sorry, Poppy, but everything about this look is a no from us. The cutout in the middle of the dress seems a little off. Or maybe we were just too distracted on the mask?
