#WRUWGirlBrunch Series Recap

Let’s Recap Brunch!

Over the weekend, we had the pleasure of hosting our inaugural WhatRUWearing Girl Brunch Series weekend featuring happy hour, brunch and an amazing panel featuring YouTube personalities Arianna Henderson of Arianna Jonae, Mia Stammer of Mama Mia Makeup and Alisha Marie of Alisha Marie

On Friday night, we opened the weekend’s festivities with happy hour at the Mile North Hotel. The night was filled with great conversation, exceptional Riesling, to-die-for truffle fries and a room full of fashion-forward individuals who were clearly selfie ready. Needless to say, everyone left happy hour with anticipation for the next day’s big brunch event.

On Saturday morning, our inaugural WhatRUWearing Girl Brunch Series opened with delicious mocktails, chocolate covered strawberries and an inspirational presentation on what makes us “special” in a world full of other considerably “special” people by the fabulous Amanda Boleyn, life coach, entrepreneur and host of the “She Did It Her Way” Podcast. Not only was Amanda a phenomenal speaker (she had the rooms full attention), her floral ensemble represented the epitome of brunch-wear and we’re currently shopping for the replica so that we’ll be ready for next weekend’s brunch.

Once Amanda’s presentation was complete, we all joined together for a beautiful and delicious brunch buffet which featured a cheese and meet tray, fruit, melt in your mouth cinnamon rolls, tossed salad and a scrambled egg bar filled with an array of toppings.  It was absolutely delicious! When the brunch portion of the day was over and everyone had finished snapping pictures of their plates for Instagram, the room completely transformed into an episode of Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live. Except, instead of Andy Cohen and a panel of housewives, we experienced a real treat in the form of Ryan Beshel, fashion and media personality, and YouTube stars’ Arianna Henderson, Mia Stammer and Alisha Marie. Ryan had the room in tears for over an hour and Arianna, Mia and Alisha shared secrets behind filming their videos, the realities of being a “social media celebrity” and of course, their top beauty tips.

From cheese plates and fruity drinks, to neon skirts and floral prints, this fashion forward event will not be our last! So, if you were unable to attend the #WRUWGirlBrunch or don’t live in Chicago, be sure to keep up with us in order not to mix the next! And for those who were able to join us, we hope you had as great of a time as we did and that we’ll see you next year!
